Disinfecting soothie pacifiers

Soothie pacifiers are loved by newborn babies and parents. Many parents get soothie pacifiers from the hospital staff and realize that the soothie pacifier is the best pacifier for their baby and just keep giving it to their baby once they get home.

Like other pacifiers, it is important for the soothie pacifier to be clean at all times, especially before putting it into the baby’s mouth.

We will show you the best ways to disinfect the soothie pacifier either before the first use or during the use of the soothie pacifier.

Step one
Boil a pot of hot water on the stove; don’t do anything with the soothie pacifier yet.

Step two
Put the soothie pacifier into the boiling water; make sure that the whole pacifier is under water for at least 4 minutes.

Step three
After 4 minutes, carefully take the soothie pacifier out of the pot and place it on a sterile surface until it cools down.

Once the pacifier cools down you can give it to your baby.

Some may say a microwave can do the same job but because we know it is radioactive we prefer it doesn’t get close to the mouth of our baby.
